My parents decided to escape the cold and the cows to come and visit us in sunny Modesto. We have been having beautiful weather with most days being somewhere in the seventies. With the weather being as awesome as it was we decided to take a day trip to "The Rock", aka Alcatraz. We had a great time and Tess was a very good girl. She pretty much slept all day and gave us a chance to see the sights.
Probably the best entertainment we had all day was the "Bush Man". This black man would stand behind some leaves and when innocent ladies would walk past he would jump out of the twigs and scare them. Then he would yell, "I bet this was your first time in a bush with a black man". He was hillarious! A little crude, but very funny.
We all had lots of fun during their visit and can't wait to see them again soon.

Isn't San Fran just the BEST!!! We totally have had the pleasure of meeting the "bush man" also. Ha ha!! What a fun trip for you guys!
That looks like fun! And don't worry she will be doing wierd things before you know it! The Branch is good. We just split the primary into junior-senior so that has been really exciting! We can barely fit enough chairs in the room for everyone!! We miss you guys tons too!
the weather sounds great!! well you will be glad you arent here in the -40. I have to say it has been WAY TO COLD. Wow Tessa looks like she is growing fast. her cheeks look adorable.
She is growing too fast and what a cutie! San Fran is one of my most favorite places to visit. Your Mom and Dad look younger than the day they were married. i told J that today I was going to load the kids and we were going to just keep on driving south until we hit 70 degrees. Thanks to you i think i'll head southeast and come say hi.maybe i can get someone at alcatraz to watch my kids for a few hours.
Tessa is a CHUNK!! she is so cute. your dad came back and all everyone has heard about is that she is getting to fat. He seems pretty worried! haha. They said they had alot of fun! im Jealous you went to alcatraz! That would be so neat to see! Well have fun mowing your grass Cali girl! :)
Glad you get to spend time with your fam. I think it would be so hard to be that far away. I struggle with 3 hours! We do love snowmobiling and I decided that if that is what Tyler was going to do every stinkin' Saturday I better man up and figure out how to ride with all the crazy men. I have enjoyed tagging along. I am jealous of your warm weather, even though this winter hasn't been too much of a "Bear Laker" I think we have only had two or three days below zero. It's been pretty mild and we don't have too much snow!
It looks like your Mom and Dad, had a great time. I would love to visit San Francisco! Tess is getting so big! I really want to go to the Smithsonian, that is on my to do list when we are in D.C. Thanks for the feedback! I can't wait to go....
